If you tuned in to WWOZ this week, maybe you've heard our Satchmo Summerfest preview performances live from the studio, featuring Leroy Jones and Miss Sophie Lee, with Charmaine Neville on tap for Thursday morning. Satchmo SummerFest happens August 5-7 in celebration of the one and only Louis Armstrong. This year, the festival moves to a new home in Jackson Square, with live acts on two stages and featuring top New Orleans musicians, many of whom will pay tribute to Armstrong and his music.
