WWOZ will broadcast Jason Marsalis' Vibes Quartet live from Snug Harbor on Wednesday, September 30, at 10 p.m.
Jason is the youngest of the four Marsalis brothers and was taking drum lessons from New Orleans legend James Black at the age of 6. He's worked with international stars including Joe Henderson and Lionel Hampton, as well as his brother Wynton. He also co-founded Los Hombres Calientes with Irvin Mayfield and Bill Summers.
He recently began focusing on the vibraphone in his latest quartet, and his new CD, "Music Update", is receiving excellent reviews. So tune in on Wednesday for this amazing performance!
