Lafayette Square (OUTDOORS)
Lafayette Square, the second oldest park in the City, was founded in 1788 and was originally called “place publique.” Located in the heart of downtown New Orleans, the park is a welcoming green space for workers, residents and visitors to the City.
The Square is named after the American Revolutionary War Hero, Marie Joseph Paul Yves Roch Gilbert Du Motier, Marquis de Lafayette.

WWOZ will be broadcasting live on Saturday and Sunday from the seventh annual Crescent City Blues & BBQ Festival, presented by the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation. The fest celebrates Southern soul with the best in local and international blues and R&B talent, plus the greatest assemblage of home-style barbecue to be found in New Orleans. Admission is free!
