The Lundi Gras Celebration is a festival that captures the true spirit of New Orleans. Thousands of guests gather along the riverfront for an unforgettable experience featuring live musical performances, mouthwatering local cuisine, craft beverages, and a showcase of talented local artists and makers. The day builds to a spectacular finale as the majestic kings of Rex and Zulu arrive, greeted by cheering crowds and honored with a formal proclamation by the Mayor of New Orleans. The ceremonial handing over of the keys to the city to Rex, the King of Carnival, symbolizes the official start of Mardi Gras.
