New Orleans Remembers – Dine Out for Louisiana For many New Orleanians, the recent flooding in Baton Rouge and the neighboring areas brought back memories of Katrina and its aftermath. We know all too well the heartbreak of losing everything, the trauma of being displaced, and the overwhelming task of rebuilding. At the same time, it brought back memories of the countless people who opened their arms and their doors to help us. Eleven years ago, Baton Rouge had our backs, offering shelter and support. Now it’s our turn to help our neighbors to get back on their feet. New Orleans Remembers – Dine Out for Louisiana has been organized to aid our neighbors in Louisiana. Participating restaurants are donating 25% of sales from Thursday, September 8th, to Second Harvest Disaster Response.
