WWOZ, the New Orleans Film Society Emerging Voices program, Ace Hotel New Orleans, and the 2016 Mardi Gras Indian Hall of Fame Week present a fundraiser event for Hail to the Queens: a documentary by Brian Nelson.

Film description: "Six Black Mardi Gras Indian Queens of New Orleans must heal their communities of violence, drugs, and emotional pain while protecting the legacy of an age old tradition as leading women within a male dominated secret society."

Featuring a trailer for the documentary followed by an original performance by Queen Reecie & the Mardi Gras Indian All-Stars, "If you don't like what the Big Queen says, just..." featured in the film.
