Armstrong Park (OUTDOORS)
The "future site of the New Orleans Jazz National Historical Park," Louis Armstrong Park is located in the Fauberg Tremé, right outside the French Quarter on North Rampart Street. Armstrong Park was created to honor New Orleans' favorite son, the great Louis Armstrong, and to preserve the site of Congo Square.
Upcoming Shows
Treme Creole Gumbo Fest is back at Armstrong Park on Sunday, November 10! This free weekend celebration showcases the music, food, and dance for which New Orleans is world famous: live funk, R&B, and brass bands, plus lots of gumbo, all in beautiful Louis Armstrong Park! WWOZ will be there video streaming live from the festival. Renowned for its diverse gumbo offerings, the festival presents a feast for the senses, with local chefs dishing out their unique interpretations of this beloved culinary staple. Admission is free, thanks to the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation.
