1) Tune into our live video stream from the Ellis Marsalis concert at the George and Joyce Wein Jazz & Heritage Center on Saturday starting at 8p! Watch here or on our Facebook page

2) Brother Martin High School Jazz Band will be joining us live in the studio on Thursday, December 20 for the last School Groove of 2018! Tune in around noon to hear the next generation of New Orleans musicians from the alma mater of Stanton Moore, Tom Benson, Richard Simmons, and many more. 

3) The Professor Longhair 100th birthday tribute is happening at Tipitina's on what would've been Fess's 100th birthday: Wednesday, December 19, 2018. Scheduled performers include Ivan Neville, Jon Cleary, Marcia Ball, Zeke Fishhead, John "JoJo" Hermann, David Torkanowsky, Tom McDermott, Johnny Vidacovich, Stanton Moore, Topsy Chapman, Deacon John, Kermit Ruffins, C.R. Gruver, Joe Krown, Josh Paxton, Herlin Riley, Alfred "Uganda" Roberts, John Papa Gros, Chris Adkins, Tony DaGradi, Tom Worrell, Reggie Scanlan, Earl Gordon, June Yamagishi, Lance Ellis, Roger Lewis and more. The Master of Ceremonies for the evening will be Harry Shearer. Part of the proceeds from this event will benefit The New Orleans Musicians Clinic and Assistance Foundation.

4) Anders Osborne is hosting his 7th Annual Holiday Spectacular on Friday and Saturday. On Friday, special guests include Joan Osborne, Theresa Andersson, Gina Forsyth, and Lynn Drury. On Satuday, special guests include Todd Park Mohr, Vince Herman, and the South Austin Moonlighters.

5) Soul Sister's 12th Annual Holiday Crate Dig is happening Sunday 3-5p at Domino Sound Record Shack. Dig with Soul Sister while she spins selections entirely from the Domino Sound store stock. She'll also help with recommendations for music and gift purchases. Free refreshments and giveaways for all ages.
