1) Easter is on Sunday and the French Quarter will be hopping! The 19th Annual Gay Easter Parade starts at 4:30p. The parade showcases the fashion and creativity of the LGBTQ community dressed in Easter and summer suits, tuxedos, and dresses with festive Easter hats. There's also the Historic French Quarter Easter Parade that stops for Mass at St. Louis Cathedral. And Chris Owens will be hosting her 35th annual Easter parade in the French Quarter.

2) Sunday is also April Fools Day and Krewe du Fool is hosting an April Fools Day Parade, starting outside Mimi's at 5p. We think. Unless I'm the fool for promoting this. Hmm.... nah, looks legit.

3) Quintron will be presenting his new book, Europa My Mirror, at the Alvar Library on Saturday at 6p. "Someone almost dies on every page! With illustrations by MISS PUSSYCAT."

4) Pigeon Town Steppers are stepping out on Sunday at 1p for their annual second line parade! Get the route sheet and hear the interview with Pigeon Town Steppers' Rollin' Joe at WWOZ's Takin' It To The Streets

5) Good things are coming up at WWOZ! In April, we'll be coming to you live from French Quarter Fest, Jazz Fest, and hosting our 30th annual WWOZ Piano Night at House of Blues. Keep your dial at 90.7 FM and you won't miss a note of it.
