Here's a little trad jazz gem: a set of songs by the Original Tuxedo Jazzband, recorded in 1964 in Baden Baden, Germany. That's bandleader Albert "Papa" French on banjo; clarinetist Joseph "Cornbread" Thomas also handles vocals. Per the video's YouTube page, here's the rest of the lineup: Jack Willis, cornet; Walden "Frog" Joseph, trombone; Jeanette Kimball, piano; Frank Fields, bass; and Louis Barbarin, drums.

The songs include "Eh La-Bas", "Just A Closer Walk With Thee", "Didn't He Ramble", and "That's A Plenty".

At 'OZ, we can't mention the Original Tuxedo Jazz Band without taking a moment to remember its former leader, our own Bob French.
