It is that glorious time of year again when we'll celebrate the life, music, and mystique of the Ivory Emperor, the Black Chopin, the Bayou Maharajah, the Black Liberace, Mr. Gonzo, Lil Booker - James Carroll Booker III.  If you don't know, then educate yourself by listening.  He was the best Black, gay, one-eyed, junkie, angel pianist that New Orleans has ever seen.  He was the only sane one here.

This year in addition to the usual music, straight dope, 3 hands, ranting, and who knows what, we'll have Lily Keber as a special guest.  Lily has been producing an amazing documentary about Booker called "The Bayou Maharajah" (Kickstarter page is http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/521191680/bayou-maharajah-the-tragic...) and will regale our listener with tales and rare music.

Do yourself a favor.

Do the right thing.

Booker, baby, he's where it's at, will be, and has been.

Listen.

And upcoming shows include the mass birthday(Fess, Porter, Bartholomew, Dick, Rogan, McMurray, Zappa, Kermit)/Xmas show on 12/25 and the annual New Years Sun Ra show.
