The only Thursday of Jazz Fest is a special day at the Fairgrounds: the hardcore Jazz Festers are out in full force, after putting on their straw hats and calling in sick to work. It's also the day that the Festival gives out tickets to school children to attend the festival, so lots of kids were out enjoying all the culture and educational experiences the Jazz Fest has to offer.
Today live broadcasts included (with a few recorded performances that we just had to share with y'all) Young Pinstripe Brass Band, Lionel Ferbos, Dukes of Dixieland, Slavic Soul Party, Regina Carter's "Reverse Thread" and Kid Chocolate.
