A space for kids to discover their talents and celebrate their own amazing culture: second lines, brass bands, Mardi Gras Indians and more - that's what the Original Big 7 Cultural Division provides. Take the Red Flame Hunters: the Big 7's own Mardi Gras Indian tribe, composed entirely of children (with some mighty grown-up design and sewing skills). The Original Big 7 is hard at work hustling up the beads, feathers and other materials needed to complete the tribe's spectacular suits. The Red Flame Hunters have been strutting their stuff since Mardi Gras 2010. Tune in Friday, February 3 around 10 AM when members of the Original Big 7 drop in on Keith Hill's Traditional Jazz program to share their upcoming plans.
