Morphine lives on in The Members of Morphine, with Jeremy Lyons AKA The Ever Expanding Elastic Wasteband. They played live today on the Blues Breakdown, community radio style, raw and minimal. See them tonight, here in New Orleans, at D.B.A. on Frenchman Street. The band features two of the original founding members of Morphine: Dana Colley on Baritone Sax, and Jerome Deupree on Drums. Jeremy Lyons pays tribute to the legendary Mark Sandman (original leader of the band, who passed away in 1999), with improvised instruments and much skill on the guitar.
