1) Happy St. Patrick's Day! The French Quarter is filling up and Molly's at the Market Irish Parade rolls tonight at 6p.

2) There's A LOT going on this Sunday-- it's Uptown Super Sunday at noon, starting at A.L. Davis Park; Single Men second line parade rolls at 2p; and St. Joseph's Night begins at sundown. Get all the details, including interviews with Chief Howard of the Creole Wild West, one of the oldest Mardi Gras Indian tribes in the city, and Big Chief Donald Harrison of the Congo Square Afro-New Orleans Cultural Group, at Takin' It To The Streets.

3) WWOZ is in the middle of our Spring Pledge Drive and there have been over a dozen fantastic live performances already in our studio this week, including Kermit Ruffins, Jumbo Shrimp Jazz Band, Joint Chiefs of Jazz, Little Freddie King, and Eureka Brass Band. Check out the video highlights! We've been non-profit, listener-supported, and volunteer-programmed for 35 years! Become a part of our number today by calling us at 1.877.907.6999 or clicking over to http://wwoz.org/donate.

4) Congo Square Rhythms Festival, presented by the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation, returns to Armstrong Park this weekend. This is the 10th annual presentation of this deeply meaningful and vibrant (and free!) festival that celebrates the many traditions that trace back to Congo Square - including brass bands, Mardi Gras Indians and the music from Africa, the Caribbean, and the Gulf South. See what it's all about in the video below.

5) YLC Wednesday at the Square is under way! Catch Amanda Shaw & The Cute Guys and Daria & The Hip Drops at this week's edition of the free concert series in Lafayette Square.
