The intersection of Jackson Ave. and Oretha Castle Haley Blvd. in Central City was renamed in honor of Big Chief Bo Dollis, Sr. on Saturday, April 19. New Orleans City Council voted on the name change in recognition of Dollis's significant contributions to New Orleans culture, particularly in his role as the longtime leader of the Wild Magnolias and as a vocalist. See photos from the event below!
