Wanda Rouzan

Wanda Rouzan, the “Sweetheart of New Orleans,” is a cherished entertainer, vocalist, and educator who brings decades of experience to her bluesy, funky, jazzy performances, backed by her band, A Taste of New Orleans. Rouzan’s polished stagecraft and warm delivery make her a perennial favorite across her native New Orleans. Among her many activities as an educator, Rouzan was a long-time communications teacher at her alma mater, Xavier University, and a Gifted and Talented Theatre Arts instructor at Audubon Charter School. She has won numerous awards and honors for her musical skills and service to the greater community. She has appeared on HBO’s Treme and in major films such as Ray and Glory Road.
