Tonya Boyd Cannon

Tonya Boyd Cannon wowed audiences and judges on NBC’s “The Voice,” and brings that same spirit and talent to every stage she graces. The Mississippi-born, Louisiana-bred singer and songwriter easily weaves her way through deep soul and ballads to jazz to funk to gospel, and maintains a polished, engaging, and energetic stage presence that keeps audiences coming back. She finished in the top 20 on the wildly popular TV show, and continues to dazzle in performance at clubs and festivals across the region, including the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival and the Essence Music Festival. She tours with her band, The Family, and performs around the world with Delfeayo Marsalis and the Uptown Orchestra. Cannon has also opened for some of today’s greatest stars, including Cassandra Wilson, KEM, Anthony Hamilton, and Danny Glover.
