The Stooges Brass Band is one of New Orleans’ top brass bands, blending the classic brass band sound with elements of contemporary jazz, hip-hop, and pop. Since 1996, the Stooges have entertained audiences around the world, and have performed with Ozomatli, Black Star (Mos Def & Talib Kweli), Black Joe Lewis & the Honeybears, Shemekia Copeland, Pedrito Martinez Group, Galactic, Trombone Shorty, Big Sam's Funky Nation, The Funky Meters, and Jessica Simpson, among others. The Stooges are festival favorites with their high-energy performances, and are also popular second line performers. Crowd-pleasing tunes include “Make ‘Em Say Ooh” from the 2016 album “Thursday Night House Party.”
