Philip Melancon is a long-sitting musician and entertainer of New Orleans. His musical career started on WWL as the resident songwriter for the legendary children’s show Popeye and Pals. From there to the Columns Hotel, then two decades in the Bayou Bar of the Pontchartrain Hotel. Along the way he has staged scores of cabaret shows, over a dozen albums, and movie scores. Currently, Phil is performing weekly at the Public Belt of the Hilton Riverside in New Orleans. Up-coming on his agenda are the cabarets: Mancini By Moonlight and Y’ule Love It . . . It’s Christmas!
