Lisa O'Neill

Lisa Mae O'Neill is a soulful writer who refers to her music as “sweet hoots and swamp hollers,” a blend of Americana, folk, country, and blues, or, as she puts it, “the kind made on porches: acoustic instruments, voices drenched in harmony, pure tones cutting through, beautiful and honest and raw.” The New Orleans native moved to Tucson, AZ, for a decade to earn an MFA and teach writing at the University of Arizona, but she is now back in the Crescent City and making music around town and the region.
