Kevin Ray Clark

Kevin Ray Clark is a Grammy-winning trumpeter and cornetist who holds down the music director duties at the venerable Fritzel’s European Jazz Pub as well as playing with the New Orleans Nightcrawlers and the Dukes of Dixieland. New Orleans is a perfect fit for Clark, who launched his career with the house band for the Ringling Brothers & Barnum and Bailey Circus and at Disneyland; he’s also done stints in Toronto and Charlotte, but always returning to the Crescent City. He’s played with luminaries like Clarence “Gatemouth” Brown and Pete Fountain, and has been nominated for three Grammy awards, winning the 2021 Grammy for Best Regional Roots Album with the Nightcrawlers for their stellar release, Atmosphere. Clark is also busy off the stage. He is a consultant for major entertainment companies, has been featured in an episode of The Simpsons (#635) playing trumpet alongside Lisa Simpson (very cool!) and has developed his own line of valve oil.
