Geno Delafose

Geno Delafose, zydeco accordionist and singer, combines traditional Cajun and Creole musics with the dancehall rhythms and contemporary sounds to create his own “nouveau zydeco.” The Grammy-nominated Delafose, son of legendary accordion player John Delafose, first hit the bandstand as a youngster on rubboard in his dad’s band, the Eunice Playboys. Today, Geno remains a driving force on the zydeco scene.
