Bubba Hebert and Alfred Doucet

Bubba Hebert and Alfred Doucet bring infectious energy and a nail-stompin’ repertoire to Cajun festivals and dance halls throughout southwestern Louisiana. Hebert is as authentic as they come: he’s the great-grandson of the legendary Iry LeJeune, the immensely popular accordion player who put Cajun music on the map in the 1940’s. Hebert inherited the family talent, and was considered an accordion prodigy as a youngster; as a grown-up he mines deep cuts and fresh originals (and maybe a reggae-tinged version of “The Lion Sleeps Tonight”) with double-clutchin, zydecajun energy that showcases his versatility and astonishing range. His partnership with Alfred Doucet, the lead guitarist for Jamie Bergeron and the Kicking’ Cajuns, gives the band an elevated level of talent and energy.
