The Bad Penny Pleasuremakers, and their shortened version, the Bad Pennies Quartet, offer Louisiana-drenched traditional jazz, ragtime, and acoustic and country blues from the pre-WWII era, all made for dancing. Led by guitarist and singer Matt Bell and percussionist Joy Patterson, both groups get audiences on the floor at clubs and festivals with tunes like Jimmy Rodgers’ “Mississippi Delta Blues.”
