Day 1 — Thursday, September 30
The Bone Tone Brass Band kicked off opening day of our Fall Membership Drive. Later in the afternoon, 'OZ host David Torkanowsky performed during his "Blues Ball" show along with saxophonist Aaron Fletcher. "Treme" theme song composer and singer extraordinaire John Boutté lent his blessed vocal tones to the cause, accompanied by guitarist Todd Duke. Chef Coy LeBeau of the Country Club provided a culinary highlight with his eggplant Napoleon and succulent pork loin.

A trio of brass bands kept things rollin' along just right on day two. We were also treated to a visit from Jayna Morgan and the Sazerac Sunrise Jazz Band, with the beautiful Trixie Minx gliding around the performance studio in full burlesque regalia to entertain onlookers. Seth Walker dropped by in the afternoon for an acoustic performance as well.

Day 6 - Tuesday, October 5
What a day! Our show hosts were reaching their goals and beyond, thanks to listener support. Charmaine Neville and her band started off the day with a couple of tunes in the live broadcast studio. Lynn Drury stopped by in the early afternoon to sing a few solo acoustic tunes, and pianist Paul Longstreth visited T.R. Johnson's show to tickle the ivories in the broadcast studio. Also on hand performing were members of the Honey Island Swamp Band along with special guests John Fohl, Jimmy Carpenter, Craig Klein, Mike Kobrin, and Gene Harding, who churned out some bluesy numbers during Marc Stone's show.

Day 7 - Wednesday, October 6
Another fantastic day for 'OZ! We had some very special guests stop by to talk about the importance of supporting New Orleans music, including Renard Poché and Washboard Chaz. Country Fried, Gypsy Elise & the Royal Blues, and Jumpin' Johnny Sansone with Colin Lake all provided some great live music for listeners, staff and volunteers.

Day 8 - Thursday, October 7
The final day of our Fall Drive proved to be an exciting one, with an early morning guest appearance by singer Caesar Elloie. Kermit Ruffins also stopped by to perform with David Torkanowsky on piano, Johnny Vidacovich on drums, and Peter Harris on bass. Kermit even improvised a blues using our pledge hotline number, and Basin Street Records generously gave away 5 copies of Kermit's upcoming CD to some high-rolling pledgers. Later in the day, Torkanowsky backed up bassist George Porter Jr. on a few tunes, including another rendition of our pledge number. Talk show host and "Simpsons" voice-actor Harry Shearer also stopped in to make his pledge and help convince listeners to do the same.
