WWOZ brings together our local, national and international supporters into a distinctive community that celebrates and strengthens the music, musicians, culture and culture bearers of New Orleans.
WWOZ heads to both national conventions this month on the jazz ticket. Special "New Orleans All-Star Jam-Balaya" concerts will kick off both conventions, and we'll be bringing them to you live.
There used to be a restaurant in the French Quarter on Rue Chartres called Rita's. It was an old-style place with the windows opening to the street and lots of dark corners to snuggle into inside. They used to make this dish better than any other place, as their crusty fried eggplant topped with succulent crawfish tails in a creamy sauce was to die for. This dish is also offered at Jazz Fest by another vendor so if you only ever make to town for the festival, make it part of a lunch at the Fairgrounds.
Our Fall Membership Drive is right around the corner and we need your help. Find out how you can be part of the magic of our Membership Drive by volunteering at WWOZ.
WWOZ show hosts are taking advantage of the new playlist capabilities to make your listening experience richer and more interactive. Jamie Dell'Apa is one of our hosts who is taking the art of the playlist to a new level.
We're still workin' on making things better at the station.
