Alleged Lesbian Activities Created by Indee Mitchell, Bonnie Gabel, Nelle Mills, Bear Hebert, Hannah Pepper-Cunningham, and Last Call Filled with camp, sex, conflict, and memory, Alleged Lesbian Activities is a musical about the dyke bar. The performance is for audiences fascinated by hidden histories, New Orleans’ changing neighborhoods, and cabaret. Alleged Lesbian Activities is the first full-length, original performance by Last Call: New Orleans Dyke Bar History Project. Suspending space and time, eleven performers interact with previous generations of queer family through voice-over coming directly from Last Call’s oral history interviews with the devoted customers of New Orleans’ lost dyke bars. Alleged Lesbian Activities conjures, during the space of the show, a dyke bar as sexy, powerful, vulnerable, and complex as the stories we have heard about them.
