About Jacob Brancasi

Jacob Brancasi is co-director of Open Sound New Orleans, a community media project and soundmap of the city. For much of last year, he was production assistant on Finding Solid Ground, a radio documentary examining residents' sense of economic, environmental and community security in New Orleans and along the Louisiana Gulf Coast following hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

Jacob is a classically trained violinist, and a graduate in Urban Studies from Vassar College. Like television and many other things wonderful, he comes from Schenectady, New York.
