The Spirit of Louisiana Jazz Funeral and Second Line will be held at the New Orleans City Park Festival Grounds on Saturday, May 25 at 4pm. New Orleans' rich cultural heritage will be celebrated with performances by the Young Men Olympian Junior Benevolent Association, Big Chief Bo Dollis, Jr. & the Wild Magnolias, and TBC Brass Band.

A jazz funeral will occur in memory of those lost during the COVID-19 pandemic, providing an opportunity for grieving individuals to honor their loved ones. Participants are invited to walk in the procession, bringing mementos, or wearing memorial T-shirts to pay tribute. 

This event is presented in memory of those who passed during the pandemic when funerals were restricted, and in honor of the front line workers, essential personnel, disaster recovery workers, and volunteers whose dedication brought us all through the pandemic and recent catastrophic hurricanes and tornadoes.
